Voice Intake

Answer the phone. We'll write it down.

The first call is where families need your full attention — not your keyboard. MortisOS Voice Intake records the conversation, transcribes it, and pulls out the decedent's details, the caller's information, and the service wishes. You review what it heard, approve it, and the case intake is filled in. No re-typing. Nothing missed.

How it works

From conversation to case file in four steps

1

Record the call — or type your notes

Open the first-call intake and press Record the whole call. Speak naturally while you talk with the family. No microphone handy? Type or paste your notes instead — the same review applies either way.

2

MortisOS transcribes and listens for the details

The recording is turned into a written transcript, then scanned for the facts a case file needs: decedent name and dates, place of death, informant and next of kin, contact details, service wishes, and more.

3

Review everything before anything is saved

Each detail appears in a review panel with the exact quote it came from. Edit, accept, or dismiss every item individually. Nothing enters the case file until you say so — you stay in control.

4

Approve, and the intake fills itself

Approved details flow straight into the first-call intake — and into an existing case when you record from the case workspace. Your completeness checklist updates immediately.

What it captures

The details a first call actually contains

Identity

Decedent details

Full name, date of birth, date of death, Social Security number, and home address — captured as spoken, ready for your confirmation.

Vitals

Death information

Place of death, county, jurisdiction, time of death, and the attending physician or certifier — the fields that drive your death-certificate work.

Family

Caller & next of kin

Who called, their relationship to the decedent, and how to reach them — so the right person is on the case from minute one.

Planning

Service wishes

Service dates and plans mentioned on the call flow into the intake — and can set the service plan to scheduled automatically when a date is named.

Accuracy

Conflict warnings

If something spoken disagrees with what's already on file, it's flagged for your decision — never silently overwritten.

Anywhere

Typed-notes fallback

In a quiet chapel, at a removal, or with no mic permission — type or paste notes and get the exact same extraction and review experience.

Where you'll find it

Built into the intake you already use

Starting a new case

The Record the whole call panel sits at the top of the First-call intake. Review and approve details before the case even exists — they fill the form as you go.

Working an existing case

From the case overview, open the First-call intake completeness panel and record a follow-up conversation. Approved details update the case profile and close out missing-field prompts.

Your data, your control

Discreet, permissioned, and always reviewable

Nothing saves without approval. Every extracted detail waits in the review panel until a director explicitly accepts it. The AI proposes; you decide.

Permission-based recording. Recording uses your device's microphone with your browser's permission, stops automatically at a safe length, and can be discarded at any point. If permission is denied, the typed-notes path keeps you moving.

Case-scoped access. Recordings and transcripts on an existing case are only available to staff assigned to that case, under the same access controls as the rest of MortisOS.
